There are not many places further away from Germany, yet in many ways New Zealand feels closer than lots of the stuff in between. You travel around the world to find an odd mirror image with Summer in Winter and traffic on the other side, buildings a bit more on the side of how I imagine America. Not really a reflection though. Of course this comparison is a bit silly, but still, that was my first impression. However what was more important for me is that the place radiates calm for me. Being based in one of Asia’s most busy cities (Saigon) I did not realize how much I was craving for peace, nature, fresh air and calm. Being probably my first “long” (over 2 weeks) true holiday in years I think it really gave me a chance to re-charge my batteries. I did not shoot much, more absorbing the country, the land in other ways. Nevertheless a few images here…
